isnt it ironic that repubs were willing to rubber stamp any spending bill Bush put before them, but when a Democrat does it, all of a sudden its all about "fiscal responsibility"

hypocrits.
Agreed. Not an independent thinker in the mix. Nothing but more partisanship and posturing from the right. It's sickening.
when we allow democracy to go to the highest bidder we get what we deserve. We seem to want short memories and not to be bothered with accountability... yet we will spend 5 yrs and tens of millions on white water only to go after a president on an unrelated issue.... yes Kenneth Starr was for White water... how did that scope change? he robbed the nation of 50 something million for nothing.
If we want honesty in Washington we need to stop PACS from giving money so they get what they want.... and prosecute the people that sell their votes.... its no different than what the Ill gov is being accused of... he was just caught. I don't care which side of the fence they sit on if they sell their vote prosecute them and throw them out on their arses.
It's also funny how after 8 years the democrats suddenly no longer care about oversight or deficits. There are no republicans or democrats in DC, there are only hypocrites.
Your party is full of hypocrites and incompetence.....................whoever you are.
