Rev 6.6 ...A quart of wheat for a denarius(days wages) and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine"

A lot of folks in this country having grown up the way they have, would have a hard time trying to figure out what to do with that wheat & barley, you reckon?
Wheat and barley? Yup! Now that Pelosi... :grimaces:

Guess who was pushing for Fannie/Freddie to get involved in sub-prime at the hearings? :Points at the democrats... their job... APPEAR to help the poor:. You starting to get the picture of how BOTH parties are involved? Their roles?... :throws a rotten tomato at Pelosi and ducks:

Auto is main street and the democrats need an excuse. We don't want to get this to the point of it all being expose do we? :chuckle: Seriously tho, something should be done for main street. Especially since wall street bankers wants the rest of the money from Paulson. News stay on the auto while wall street hurries and re-work their deals. Nobody's paying attention.

Both parties work together under these conditions. :reaches for the oil can, walks to the barrow's wheels: I'm taking everything out Mon. for sure.

That's funny.
They all are to blame and all but a few need desperately to cover their tracks. If the American voter could muster a collective brain they would throw them all out, even the good ones,- as the good ones, (must be one somewhere), would have to go also to get the collective mind to descriminate correctly among what they don't understand. The collective mind to keep one idea in its head from the car to the voting boothe, "all incumbents must go" . That would be power back to the people and would send a message for a long time to come. Ah maybe!

Anyways, I'm not sure the people need any power as they don't understand power. An Oligarchy would probably be the best for this country. Which is basicly what we have, disguised as voting rights. The voter never educates itself sufficiently to avoid the miriad of oligarchal forms designed to manipulate and dupe it completely. Unfortunately it is going to be an oligarchy of socialists this time around. This however is only another form because the same eletists are in charge.

What emerges from this round will be unlike the rest. It is because we opened the vaults and they were looted. Disciplined and productive issuance of the money was corrupted. No more cyclical every three-eleven years of prosperity , then a 250 day downturn then a return to growth. This time around we will learn the discipline of our forebares, which,i suppose is as it should be.
It was long overdue.

There is something though that I never hear discussed in the press. A very simple concept as I see it. Where did all the money go? It did not just dissapear did it? It went from the balance sheets of Wall Street to the balance sheets of Main Street that is where it went. The dollars passed from A-Wall Street to B-the mark, courierpawn, to C the seller. Sure, a lot of sellers, the inexperienced and greediest left the money on the wheel and ended up worse than when they started. Most Main Streeters however, have that transfer of wealth on their blance sheets. So my question to you is what is the fuss?

Wall Street is weaker and Main Street is stronger. The bail out evidently has not helped the stockholders much anyways. The stock market, another Wall Street/government partnership fix, due to the 401K, is simply taking its profits at this time. That money did not dissappear either. It is passing from the 401K donations all over the investment band to the moguls who have always controlled it. This was always the plan because the 401K is,- the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.
Via one venue, the housing market the politicos and the facilitators slipped up and transferred large amounts of wealth to Main Street. To compensate somewhat, they are transferring large amounts back -via trashing of the 401K accounts.
Now if we really want to see this thing work in favor of Main Street and the overall good of the economy we will not give the money back to Wall Street from the federal coiffures and we will not reward a run away train of quasi socialist auto industry for their failures.
No more money and let the chips fall where they may. Again, the legislation will simply transfer the suffrage from where it belongs, to the hapless undeserving dupe. The dupe that played with discipline and analytical courage ,trampled by the partnership of a loose but powerful consortium of politico/government elite/tycoons.
What many people don't understand about that process, in my opinion, is that it is layered. The layer that works for all of us in capitalism is the small business layer. The mega-corporate layer is the thief. So don't throw the baby out with the bath water . Thousands of corporations are little more than small businesses incorporated for tax and liability purposes.

"Five Thousand Million of us in the hands of a few scores of generals, tycoons, lawyers and moneylenders. The cyanides of the earth and the cyanides will never ever lose their savor." Aldous Huxley
Now there is a quote for the marxist/socialist posters on these boards. But get it right boys and girls. It is not the small buisinessman, the backbone of capitalism that you despise. It is the Oligarchal consortium of tycoons that you should aim your, -lets say..."rants" towards. Russia has its Putins and we have ours.

Schtyk ... wow! I have to take care of life and leave but I want you to know I'm going to think about all that you've presented and give back a response. I don't want to cheat myself with a quick response since the ideas presented deserve to be pondered.

Thanks for taking the time to articulate your meaning. :-)
