You have very sick views and will have some explaining to do with God when it's your time. He will be ashamed. Once again, this is not a thread for your disturbing views and bigotry. You don't really represent what it is to be a loving Christian and it's sickening.

These are solutions. Not bashing. If you'd like to see the difference we could accomodate, but then that would not be what this thread is about.

The OP didn't want a deity brought up, nor name calling. Please play nice.

If you are actually gay, do not even think about bringing God into this. He already has a very special plan for you. Dress light Mary, because it will be warm.

I will make connections with people.
Sometimes in my every day life I really don't feel like going through the hassle of being "out" but I think it has its merits.
I'm going to try to go outside my comfort zone more and try to make connections with people who may have anti-gay views.
I lost the chance to do that today in one of my classes when one of my classmates said, "The only thing that should be separate is same sex" and a lot of people agreed. I kind of lost any incentive to come out but next week is a new week.

I think it's Lamda Legal or the ACLU that has this message, "Make connections, not lawsuits" and I kind of want to go that route.

By being more open about myself, I've managed to change a lot of people's opinions of gays and lesbians and more importantly, gay and lesbian rights. My aunt who said she was fine with me being gay, as long as I didn't bring any of my girlfriends around her is now to the point where she asks me if I have a girlfriend whenever I see her and I feel more accepted by her.

I think by making connections with people and having them see gays and lesbians as PEOPLE and people who deserve equal treatment under the law, it can go a long way.

I think marches, protests, etc are all well and dandy but you need to have more than just gays and lesbians fighting and standing up for gay rights which is why I think gays and lesbians need to try to make connections in places that are not always considered THE most gay friendly environments.

Trolling? Pot, kettle, black.

FYI:
Saying someone is sick, and a bigot is namecalling.

Yep, I'm not gay but my best friend is so this Saturday we're attending the local rally here in Milwaukee, probably making signs. I assume it'll be peaceful.

Perhaps you should look up bigotry in the dictionary and then review your posts? I'm done with the discussion as I refuse to allow you to get me upset (not giving you that power!). Let's get back on topic.

There's an insight about a frog and a kettle of water, you may have heard of it.

Throw a frog into boiling water and he'll jump out.

Put him in cool water and turn up the heat and he'll stay put, unfortunately for the frog it is to his death, but then for the chef, he has a fine meal.

The point is, Gays are cooking everyone on high heat... take a lesson from the gov't and turn the heat up a little slower.
