Although Germany’s Chancellor Merkel spoke to President-elect Barack Obama Thursday and agreed to work in unity with the United States, she is telling her supporters that cooperation will not include sending more German troops for Afghanistan.
Funny ain't it, America gets its first black Pres and Germany says this. Point being, not that Merkel is Germanys first woman leader, but Germany has race issues in the past - Nazism.
No but they just agreed to keep their present levels in afganistan according to the BBC british defense ministry. There is no disagreement that afgansitan will be continued by either of the parties in US and the british just had agreement between parties that they are in it for the long run. So no one has said no .As the british parties agreed in this meeting ;it is a matter of national security for all western nations.
