As was predicted several weeks ago when the Bush administration rolled out its $700-billion banking bailout plan, Treasury is preparing to exceed that limit and make the announcement as early as tomorrow!
that whole "at any one time" part of the legislation should have made people think twice. But no, stocks tanked and their 401ks went down and suddenly everyone wants a few billion dollars.
There already are programs out there that are not the $700 billion bailout. There will be more of those...which is what they are actually talking about...
I hope Obama gets elected and selects Krugman.
We need a man with deep insight and vision in a cabinet position.
LOL, only difference is if Oblama gets elected we'll give money away before the SHTF. We are in trouble whoever gets elected. Unless Ron Paul somehow some way ends up in the White House.

I think you're right about that, with Obama or McCain we are up the creek without a paddle.
Remember, MANY Americans did NOT want this bailout. Congress voted otherwise. Your govt working for you (not). Let the bleeding begin.
When does the gov't ever listen to what the people want? We can write congress, call them and they'll still do what they want. As far as SHTF, I don't think we'll see that in our lifetime. I wish Paul was in the election, I don't want Obama or McCain
