Watching the outpour of good will & excitement over Obama's world trip is great. But the real change in the world is that people can like America again and want to love America like in the past.

I believe the damage brought on by a very foolish president can be quickly repaired. We are in a recession & can not afford the Bush empire. But the horizon looks good once we restore our relationship to Europe\ the world & end the war.

Any one else feeling hopeful for our nation?

I have no opinions, but I do hope for the best.

Frankly it seems we are going the opposite from the rest of the world. Towards socialism while they are going free market.

The rest of the world should be looking up to us, not the other way around. They should care about being in our good graces.

I hope that we are able to resolve conflicts between different races and religons, not only in the US, but around the World as well.

Well, electing a neocon like McCain will ensure that America will continue to be the policeman of the world because America will make a better, more democratic policeman than radical Islamic terrorists, so the Republicans will tell you. I think, however, it's time to give the Democrats another turn at the presidency since Bush as a Republican has shown so little interest in capturing bin Laden.

As for America going toward socialism, it has been doing exactly that for decades ever since Social Security started and later Medicare.

I'm almost afraid to hope but, watching U.S. flags waved again in Europe, I feel a stirring of that hope that maybe we will once again have an administration that will make us proud. I am always proud of my country. Of the current administration...no.

I feel the US was beginning to fall after 2000, esp. since the Bush administration.

Maybe I'll be able to get off my anti-depressants since our image overseas has improved.

Feeling hopeful for a housing failure and interest rates that'll head through the roof?

Fannie's too big to bail out. Even for the messiah Obama himself.

If you think an economy can be run on "warm fuzzies", you're in for a rude awakening.
