This is true. You inadvertently gave us a page right out of the leftist playbook. This goes all the way back to the day Bill Clinton had his deposition released in his rape case. Hillary and her trained shrews all went on the air talking about how disastrous the optics were, then they released it and ole Billy was cool as a cucumber. It worked. Everyone forgot the rape allegations and Billy skated away clean as a whistle.
Meanwhile James Carville was saying, “Old Bill, why, he’d **** a rattle snakes mouth if you held the teeth back for him.”
So here we are talking about how awful it’s going to be for old Joe, meanwhile they’ve got him on some super drug and he’s going to come out swinging like a 70 year old version of himself.
If Trump didn't prepare for this debate, and if Biden remains calm, speaks to his excellent accomplishments, and calls out Trump's criminal accomplishments, Biden will easily win.
It plays to Trump's advantage that the microphone will be muted after 2 minutes' time, because he won't be heard rambling and talking nonsense as he so often does.
If Biden can come off as sharp and prepared as he did in this year's state of the union address, Trump will look bad.
But if Biden is slow to respond, and gets caught on the defensive with his record, it won't be a good Biden look.
Both candidates have pretty high stakes:
-If Trump does well he may get a bit of support from moderates who have dumped him, and overcome some of his felon stigma.
-And if Biden does well he will get support from those on the fence, giving confidence and reassurance that Biden is sharp and ready to tackle a few more years, at least for now.
Two cognitively dysfunctional old men mumbling and stumbling. Should have been held near a nursing home. Sad.
That they are the “best” either party can do is pathetic. In a country the size of this one, the fact that the moneyed interests have determined that no one younger than 75 should be president is an absolute embarrassment.
There is no “win” here.
It's pathetic that the main hope and aspiration for democrats in their political candidate for this evenings debate completes the debate without falling asleep, being able to stand 90 minutes, doesn't have a bowel movement in his pants, and doesn't "vapor lock" and freeze before a television audience.
We have stooped that low that someone of such minimal presence and mental capabilities is the "best possible candidate" for the democrat party. Biden's presence as the democrat presidential candidate is a reflection of the corruption and depravity of the democrat party itself- morbibund, confused, and devoid of any presence or inspiration for the US public.
God help us.
Biden is a reflection of American society as a whole- a corrupt, clownish, undead corpse. I have said before that America is going out, not with a bang, not even with a whimper, but- and excuse my vulgarity here- with a 'shart.'
