A statement by the El Paso Walmart shooter had me wondering:
Quote:
Federal prosecutors said that Crusius, 24, confessed to targeting Mexicans and that he posted a statement online hours before the attack in which he railed against the “Hispanic invasion” of the United States, using anti-immigrant language that has been popularized on the political far right.
Now, if Hispanics were in Texas and California before the Anglos, who invaded the regions? It makes one wonder.
Manigault logic:
Your great-great....great-grandfather stole money from my great-great....great-grandfather. So if I steal that money from you, I'm not really stealing.
If we are talking other than the aboriginal, the first European colonizers in the regions were Hispanic. So how can they now be termed the invaders?
There were very, very few Hispanics in Texas at the time of the Texas Revolution. Population was about 35,000 Anglo, 5,000 Hispanic and 10-15,000 Indians.
Spain and Mexico never settled Texas. That why they invited Stephen F. Austin to bring in American settlers.

Neither did California for that matter. Eg only New Mexico was partially settled.

If only our country weren't being overrun with illegal aliens. I blame the failure of the federal government
