I don't know about "slur" but it sure is unnecessary and ugly sounding.

No I don't find this term to be a slur , although I really can't fathom why there needs to be a separate term for women who are actually women .

You don't have to like or use the term, but it's not a slur.

I don't think it's a slur, but I will say that I refuse to call myself a "cisman." I've actually had some radicals get upset with me when I've described myself as a "man" or "male" without using a "cis." I've challenged them every time on this. I'm generally happy to call someone whatever they want to be called (although I draw the line as plural pronouns), but I've had to let folks know that this goes both ways. Just as I respect others and refer to them as they want to be called, they need to respect my decision to identity as just "male" or a "man."

I fully agree and could not say it better myself. Thank you!

I agree with this. I’m not learning the language the kids have invented to make this fantasy work for them. The pronouns, the genders....nope not doing it. I can’t believe some are going along with changing our language to accommodate this nonsense.

Is "ciswoman" even a word?

Cisgender is a word, and no it's not a slur.

It started in the medical community. You sort of need a term to refer to the opposite of transgender and using "not transgender" is certainly less wieldy.

Screw the progressive left, they all can go to hell.
This is why it's important to have a paper copy of the dictionary, preferably from pre-2015 or so, that woke employees at online dictionaries can't sneak in to and replace the real definitions with the politically influenced Newspeak ones.

You don’t need a special term to refer to the opposite of transgender. Transwomen are a subset of people who believe they are women. Women is a complete definition to describe….women.
