We just got our "free" Covid-19 tests that Biden announced would be sent out last week.

Hooray for American industry and know-how, that produced those and got them out so quickly!

Except that... on the back in the fine print, it says "Made in China".

Let’s all take a moment to say a prayer for Ronald Reagan, the Patron Saint of Outsourcing. Without his “trickle down” economic policies, most American companies never would have been properly incentivized to offshore their production capabilities. Thank you Reagan for our Chinese test kits. Reagan was the best.

So many accusations. So little evidence. As usual.

I got mine today. I was reading the instructions. It said to not freeze the kit. It was sitting in my mailbox for a few hours at temps well below freezing. Oh well, I tried.

Did it say that on the outside of the mailing packaging?

If not, how was the mailman to know it had to be treated differently from an ordinary letter or package?

Unless there's a legal stipulation against doing so, I plan on selling mine to hypochondriacs who burn through their allotment in less than a week.

The patron saint of offshoring was Jack Welch, just saying. And Reagan is just one of a long list of politicians in both parties that are responsible. He may have thrown the pitch, but Clinton knocked it out of the park.

I think it’s funny that anyone actually signed up to get one. I guess I don’t understand the appeal of it, other than that it’s “free.”

Just think of it as a US taxpayer funded stimulus payment to China from "the big guy"
