Such an amazing vaccine.

"Pandemic of the Unvaccinared" Joe Biden and Rochelle Walensky

Seems like in the case of jail that the vaccine provided about 30% protection against COVID-19 at that particular jail.

70% of those vaccinated tested positive when vaccinated compared to 93% of those unvaccinated.

Whoops....If it's 95% effective than how come about 70% of inmates caught COVID-19.

It isn't doing what they said it was supposed to do. Two of my fully vaccinated friends recently caught covid. It doesn't protect them from this virus.

'Four people were hospitalized, three of whom were unvaccinated, and one person died, who was unvaccinated, according to the CDC.'

It feels more and more like we are being conditioned to accept that everyone will always be infected with covid. The vaccine just makes it a survivable existence. I guess we should embrace our new life partner/hitchhiker.

A very good chance it will be similar to Influenza, chronic and endemic, as an intermittent or annual event. Influenza kills tens of thousands in the USA every year, and we have adapted to that medically and socially. There is still chance that Covid 19 could mutate to a less serious form. And in the meantime it may give huge numbers of people good reason to reduce their medical risk factors. Especially weight.

This, right here. It might also be helpful to remember that we do not have mandated flu shots. I fully expect to see a yearly Covid shot. It would be nice if they could make a combined annual flu/Covid shot.

Define tested positive.

Was it a positive test of 43 cycles looking for trace evidence of a virus and no other symptoms?
Was it a case of the sniffles?
Was it maybe feeling pretty punky?
Or hospitalization?

How do each of those compare between the two groups?

It's also worth noting that there were 185 vaccinated prisoners vs 42 unvaccinated prisoners. I'll let everyone do their own math on the hospitalization rates.
