The company said it aims to “recover economic damages resulting from the revocation of the Keystone XL Project’s Presidential Permit,” adding that it suffered a loss of more than $15 billion “as a result of the U.S. Government’s breach of its NAFTA obligations.”
So Joe paid 15 billion to kill thousands of US jobs? This guy is an even bigger klutz than I originally thought... Or maybe he just hates America as much as the far left crowd. How can a president mess up this bigly? Maybe that's why Obama tried to warn the world... Never underestimate Joe's ability to F everything up...
They may get a little more than zero, but it won't ever be close to $1 billion dollars, much less $15 billion.
Keystone knew full well before a foot of pipe was laid they were going to have major problems completing this project. If they didn't have it underwritten, that's not America's problem.
But since Canada is one of our oldest and strongest allies, it makes no sense not to give them some consideration. They do the same with us, and Mexico does the same with both the U.S. and Canada. Good partners ut each other some slack in disagreements. It keeps things working to mutual benefit.
The fact is North America may not be in a regional trade group as official as the European Union, ours is almost as large and almost as strong. Since it only involves 3 nations, ours doesn't have to be as complex as the EU to make it work.
The pipeline company absolutely should sue; they deserve to be compensated for every dollar spent on the pipeline to date, to say nothing about loss of future profits. But rather than suing "the administration"-which means Biden's incompetence and vindictiveness will end up paid by the American taxpayer, they should be suing the Democratic Party. Hold these fools accountable for their actions, just once.
Considering that Warren Buffet has a pipeline under construction that runs almost the same route as the Keystone and no one has had concerns about it. Of course he is a big supporter of the democratic party and owns the railroad that is shipping the oil now.
There has been more environmental damage from rail oil spills than from pipelines, but the democrats won't let facts get in the way.

We don’t need to be a mirror of the EU nor should rescinding permission on a project be based on a politician’s whim.
