At the beginning of the pandemic, it made sense to close the borders to the EU/UK. Trump ended the ban at the end of his presidency but because what Trump did must be undone, Biden immediately reversed it.
So as of now fully vaccinated Europeans can't enter the US directly. Who can?
- Most Citizens from Africa, South America, Caribbean, Turkey to name a few.
- EU/UK citizens who STAY for 2 weeks in one of the countries above, THEN can enter. So a vaccinated European needs to stay 2 weeks in Mexico and then is allowed in. No kidding.
What's the science behind this? Well uhm, nothing. Lots of mumbles about the Delta variant but I guess the Delta variant doesn't exist in the countries listed above?
There are tons of personal stories of people who are impacted by this, there's the tourism/travel industry in the US. Tons of jobs. So what are you waiting for Joe?
The problem with the whole pandemic is that the Democrats seized on it and turned it into a political weapon to hammer on Trump with.
Biden and his admin doesn't know what to do and what they are doing boggles the mind. One cannot openly travel from country to country but if you are a "migrant" seeking asylum you can just walk right into America and Biden will bend over backwards to make you comfortable and give you everything you want. Never mind the Covid but what about the general vaccinations that we all received when we were kids? Are the "migrants" kids given common vaccines before they are placed into American schools?
There is very little science involved when the Democrats weaponize a virus, racism or even climate change. They pick and choose what works for them to advance their agenda.
And another 2 days have passed after the 4th, still no plan how to re-open America for the most important source of incoming tourism.
