HIPAA deals with health providers (and insurance companies) protecting your private health information. That's why your doctor's office has to make sure your wife has waived confidentiality to share information with you. Generally, if the other party is not a health provider, HIPAA doesn't cover it. There are some exceptions to this, such as schools and special education, etc., but even they are considered "providers." A public or private business, or even a public or private person, asking you for your medical information is not a HIPAA violation because they are not health providers. PLUS, all you have to do is decline to respond, no one is forcing you to share information. If it is a business, they can still refuse to let you enter the business because vaccine status is not a protected class. Your employer may force you to show proof of vaccination, but that is not a HIPAA violation either. If you think about it, if it WAS a violation, then any time we had to come back from a work injury and prove we are cleared to return to work, that would be a violation. Or every time we called in sick to work, that would be a violation as well. But none of that is a violation, because our employers are not our health providers. In the few cases where our employers ARE our health providers, they are held to the same types of confidentiality that HIPAA regulates.

O.K., makes sense. The only reason I asked is because I'm a contractor working for the USG and my company said to not tell the USG if they ask.....
So, there were 4 OTHER links also, I'm not going to prove your point, just provide it next time, you know, like normal people do.
I kind of assumed the one with the word “appeal” in the title would give it away. I mean, that's why “I” clicked on it! Lol
