All the major church's have adapted by having services online, even evangelical ones.

It is only a few of the extreme politically charged churches that have been flouting the health regulations.

Right now in Canada we have many variants. They spread easier, and are more deadly. They are also affecting people under 40, and not like the other variants, these ones are putting young people in hospital.

"Doctors across Canada are warning that they are seeing an increase in young Canadians being hospitalized with more severe complications from COVID-19.

Infectious disease specialist Dr. Abdu Sharkawy previously told CTV's Your Morning that the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is infecting those under the age of 40 more, largely due to increased circulation of more transmissible variants."

Canada is not going the way of Nazi Germany, that is a ridiculous misuse of historical facts.

Enforcing temporary health restrictions is what I pay my taxes for.

I like this comment I read on another site:

Quote:
My family was subject to Nazi rule during WW2. They were kidnapped, raped, tortured and sent to prison camps, forced labour camps and even killed. This man has the nerve to call police enforcing a public health order during a world wide pandemic as Gestapo and Nazis.

For once the SS loses. I'm sure they will be back with a SWAT team next time, though.

And, also, I truly wonder how the LEOs just left without pursuing the matter. Wonder how many U.S. cops would have reacted that way?
Eff that. It worked, which is what matters. Do you hold back when you tell a dog "NO!" when he bites? Same thing here. These officials were not there for reasoned discussion.

People are not dogs.

And, imo, the fact that the LEOs backed off showed that they were not Gestapo "warriors" using their uniforms as proof of their actions being sanctioned by the government and as having been given permission to get tough and become possibly violent.

Why connect Passover with a church?

Meanwhile, I'm glad my rabbi has the moral fortitude to keep our synagogue closed for the 2nd Passover in a row in the midst of a plague. This pastor seems like a weak leader and makes his church look like cowardly snowflakes.

Your foolish rabbi can keep things closed forever. You can stay home forever. Nobody will miss you.

What exactly was reasonable about the pastors actions in the middle of a pandemic.
