I would have thought it would be in 90s percent of population, but nope it's 26% in California according to a poll.

The media hasn't really discussed potential side effects with the public either.

I read the side effects. I wonder if the percentage will increase or decrease when the potential side effects of vaccine are discussed to the public.

It seems like not everybody is going to be racing to the vaccination tents to get COVID-19 vaccines immediately when they have opportunity to get one.

According to a San Francisco Chronicle, only 26% of Californians would definitely get a vaccine if offered today.

The number was much lower for Latino and African-Americans. The highest percentage who get a vaccine if it were available was Asian-Americans.

Doesn’t surprise me although I am not from California. I’m going to treat these vaccines like a new car model. I will others take it now so they can work out the bugs. Then maybe I will take the third or fourth iteration.

I'm surprised it is so low too. Fauci has said these are good to go, so I see no reason not too.

And yeah folks arent aware that these vaccines are gonna make many folks feel pretty bad for a day, and then the second shot apparently is rougher. One of the concerns is that some folks wont come back for the second worse shot. Lovecrowds is very accurate to point this out since most folks arent aware.

That being said people need to get tough. Sheesh. You feel bad for a couple days, but then 95% immune to this stuff. Hopefully its more permanent then a year though. Would suck to do this for a few years in a row.

2 of the vaccine makers used mRNA vaccine while 2 of them are conventional. If you are concerned don't take the mRNA versions.

So lefties are more anti vaccine than righties? Embrace progress. Take your shot comrade!

doesn't the mRNA ones have higher effective rates though? 95% vs 70%?

But no most of us arent anti-vaccine. But a ton of folks are worried about this being rushed. I suspect after those of us who trust it (like me) have taken it, that others will also do so.

As an essential worker I'm apparently tier 3... Tier one are hospital workers, law enforcement, and first responders... Tier 2 are elderly, high risk, and children... So I guess they are our guinea pigs and then myself. Having researched the vaccines I'm not particularly concerned. Tier 4 is the general population.

I would put essential workers before children...they don't need it first...and if there is a problem with it ..better it happen to me than kids.

Perhaps the lefties in California are waiting for Sleepy Joe to tell them it’s ok? You know, since he’s such an accomplished epidemiologist and all.

As for me, I plan on taking the vaccine whenever it comes out, I might wait a few weeks or so to see how the roll out goes, but still plan on taking it.

If I were these pharmaceutical companies, just sell these vaccines to Asia and Africa. Allow Western society to enjoy their unrestrained freedom to let Covid spread.
