Guessing Trump will not do much about Covid now that he is a lame duck president. I wonder how much Covid is going to spike in his remaining days in power? Maybe he should resign (in protest, of course), save us all some grief, and appoint Mike Pence to handle things. Pence will handle it for him, as much as I don’t like him. I do trust Pence to make a good faith effort.

I'm thinking you are right about doing nothing on COVID, but I don't think he'll resign. I'm guessing it's more a case of "well, if I can't win, I'm going to let things go to **** so everyone loses." That's his nature, and nobody has been able to stop his nature before. Senate republicans will try to pressure him into some coronavirus relief, but what leverage do they have with him now? Nothing.

Well, maybe they could offer to name a battleship or bridge or something in his name. That might drum up some interest with him.

I heard on the news yesterday that the current Covid spike is predicted to peak around the time of inauguration.
The article predicted there wouldn't be the typical round of parties, dances and banquets this year due to the prevalence of the virus.

Senate Republicans had a chance to remove Trump from office, and they passed on it. They knew how incompetent a leader Trump was and decided it would be better for their power to let him continue in office. Then we entered an actual crisis (COVID) where leadership mattered, and he bungled it as everybody expected. You would think voters would hold the senate responsible/complicit for abdicating their responsibilities to the nation, but they/we passed!

I feel bad for all of the needless victims of COVID, and I did MY part as a voter, but this country just had a choice to referendum the government for its failure and it ignored the festering wound

There's nothing that can be done about COVID. You can't force people to get tested and you won't be able to force them to get vaccinated. It's here to stay.

We will probably have close to 400k dead by inauguration time. If not 500k. They should have realized this beforehand. We know Trump is definitely doing to do nothing now except plan his exit strategy from the country

People apparently are too stupid to understand how sociopaths operate. Have these people never worked for Nutjob, bully, know nothing managers on the private sector?

At least when you’re going to get rid of the moron manager in the private sector, you don’t let them stick around for 2 months to allow them to run more crap into the ground

Until countless and needless deaths. Great job America

Maybe you should talk to Joe and ask h8m not to have people so close together with or without masks that would be. Start. But don’t worry Joe will shut us down and we will be mandated to wear masks welcome to China!

What do you think he can do? Lock down the country again? Not going to happen. A national mask mandate won't work because half of the population will refuse to do it. Offer all the testing you want, but most people aren't thrilled with the idea of having a 8 inch Q-tip stuck up their nose.

Results at this point wouldn't have changed had President Virus stayed around to fight, considering his abject failure to this point. Probably for the best he stay on the golf course for the next 70 days or so.
