A couple of years ago, I would have never thought he'd do that. His world is so narrow that I couldn't imagine him liking living elsewhere. I'm guessing that all his travels are for business, and he has had none of the usual traveler's interest to visit historical sites, go to museums, try local restaurants.
But now I'm starting to think that his worldview is so twisted with his fear of being unmasked as the loser that he is, maybe it's a real possibility, that he'd run off and hide. Even if he loses a lot of his money in lawsuits, he could always afford servants, and there are McDonald's all over the world.

People tend to care because on top of just being the most incompetent President, he's completely unpatriotic by suggesting he would leave the country. If he doesn't love the country, he shouldn't just joke about leaving but actually do it.

By all careful accounts , Trump is not a billionaire, not close to one. When he is finally indicted and bankrupt he may become a flight risk.

Perhaps you haven't noticed - Trump thrusts himself incessantly in the news, forcing himself into everyone's notice, and probably a record-breaking number of books have been written about him.

Trump only "loves" America as it has benefitted him. I've never heard him say that he loves the country for the help it provides for the underclass, or that the loves the way the arts are encouraged, or that he loves the diversity of cuisine.
