More evidence is piling up concerning Hunter Biden's criminal actions as time goes on. The crack pipe. Bribes from Russia. Criminal actions in Ukraine. Influence peddling. Trump has two months to turn the Justice Department loose before the inauguration (assuming Harris/Biden win). In addition, we have evidence of child abuse, a state crime. So the question is, will one of Joe's few acts before stepping down for Harris be to pardon his son for his crimes?

No, he’ll just tell the Attorney General to drop charges or else he’s cutting funding. And sonofabitch, the charges will be dropped.

Ugh. You’re being a snowflake.

You can’t PARDON someone without a CONVICTION.

If what you theorize is in fact true, then he would be tried and convicted.

That is simply not the reality. If there really is sufficient evidence for a charge, which I highly doubt because it appears to be a deluded conspiracy theory, then he would go through the criminal justice system. Or is that rigged too?

Nope! He's PROUD of his son...why would he need to pardon him?

Tony B, on the other hand might commit suicide by shooting himself in the back of his head twice though.

I've been worried about him from the start.

Will Trump pardon Ivanka and Jerrod?
Same question, different people.

It seems to me that criminal charges would have to come first before any pardon. If you think any President's child will be charged, then pick one and lay your bet.
I don't think anyone will ever be charged. Lots of President's kids have turned out to be bums, but none of them ever has gotten charged with anything while their old man was serving in the office. It's not the American Way.

So Nixon was never pardoned?

That would be news.

Actually, you are correct. I was thinking of governor type pardons in which you normally see a conviction first.

Impeachment proceedings had begun by the time Ford issued the pardon. Though Nixon resigned before he was ever impeached still left the charges open, so Ford's pardon closed them neatly without creating another crisis.

It was the most controversial thing Ford ever did in his very long political career, and it probably cost him the Presidency later on.
