The title of this thread is a lie.

Counting ballots is not "stealing" an election. That's how elections work.

At least that's how they are supposed to work in the U.S.

Perhaps Putin announces the results of elections without actually counting the ballots. But that's another story.

This is all a made up controversy, intended to whip up the base and try and throw some close races. In the end I expect it will all be a wash.
