While I believe Trump does have some hope of winning, though slim, do you really think the GOP will be in control of the Senate?
There's also mastadon (https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon / https://joinmastodon.org/), a free, open source, self-hostable, and federated alternative to Twitter. Our governments are fully capable of running their own without being beholden to private companies. I think that's a better option regardless what side of the political spectrum you're on.
