Why would Trump wait until AFTER the election to fire Fauci?

Firing Fauci must be a bad political move that would cost Trump votes, else he would have fired him already. Trump's ego let it slip too soon when the crowd started chanting. Weak Trump couldn't keep it a secret for another 36 hours.

How many votes will this cost Trump? You can guarantee that Biden's campaign will be using this against Trump in the crucial hours before the end of the election.

I think Fauci should be go on trial for crimes against humanity along with his friend, Bill Gates.

Yes, if Trump would have fired Fauci, Dems would have used that to say that Trump did it because Fauci would not agree with Trump. In his 2nd term, Trump will expose a lot of what has went on with the "virus".

Fauci politicized the virus? Sorry, but it was Trump that did that. Fauci simply acted like the physician he is, and Trump couldn't stand having anyone who actually knows something show him up.

Trump also can’t stand it that polls clearly show the public trusts Fauci more than Trump when it comes to medical advice about the virus.

He should have said this weeks ago. I would definately vote for him them.

I just don't know how anyone can say Fauci has done a good job. Everything he has said hasn't worked or has been flat out wrong.

His huge ego is a big reason he’s such a terrible leader and thus the American people will be firing Trump.
Fauci sealed his fate when he uttered Trump and Biden in the same discussion. He had no business making those comments.

Zero.

Also, I hope that Biden's campaign does use it. Including shots of the very diverse crowd in Florida started the "fire Fauci" chant.

Do you have anything to support that assertion? Trump is the one who politicized the virus. Fauci is not a politician (neither is Trump, but we'll let that go for now).

Fauci has been following the scientific method: "a method of procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses."

Changing recommendations for disease control follows that last step: modification. Once we understood that the virus was airborne, wearing masks was recommended.

We've been wearing masks since late March. Kinda early on in the pandemic, in this country, anyway.

And how, exactly, has Fauci been "divisive"? Because he disagrees with Trump? Hell, more than half the country disagrees with Trump.

It pains me to know that there are people in this country who would believe an snake oil salesman and charlatan over a respected and experienced physician and infectious disease specialist ... but there's no underestimating the stupidity of the American public, is there?

Fauci should have been fired back in February when he told America Covid was not something to worry about.

“Obviously, you need to take it seriously and do the kind of things the (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the Department of Homeland Security is doing. But this is not a major threat to the people of the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States right now should be worried about.”
