The framers of the Constitution created Article 3 judgeships without pre-specified numbers for a very good reason. Also note that more people were against Trump’s impeachment before it occurred, and more came around in support of it afterwards.

This is called the political process. Hyperventilating about it achieves nothing.

Unfortunately our friends on the left can't cope with the fact that their far left unconstitutional agenda is dead with ACB replacing RGB, so they are seeking to burn everything down around them.
If you will start a civil war over a simple expansion to 11 justices, then I think it's you who can't cope with the fact that your far right agenda is DOA once Dems take a clean sweep.

That would destroy the integrity of the court, and the ONLY reason it would be done is so that an unconstitutional agenda could be pushed. That's absolutely cause for a civil war. Is pushing your far left unconstitutional agenda worth the bloodshed it would cause?

I would argue no, it's not. You'll have no problems with the courts if you stick to what is constitutionally allowed. There's no reason to burn down the entire system unless you are up to no good....in which case, the people would have a need to rise up against you.

Is your decision to start that civil war worth the bloodshed it would cause?

I would argue, no it's not.

You would be better off refocusing on 2024.

I’m not opposed to 13 or 15, and negotiate down to a lower number based on what concessions Senate and House GOP are willing to make (e.g. senate representation for DC and PR, statehoods for both, LGBTQ and women’s rights amendments to our constitution, etc.).

That is all part of the political process and I’d much rather focus on how to win both the Congress and the WH in the next decade so we can make these hypothetical discussions and compromises a reality. Compromise is key, because Biden will be a president for all Americans.

This ^^^^

A SC justice should NOT be rushed in a week before an election when said justice has a political bias that is in alignment with the current sitting President who will likely contest an unfavorable result to the SC. If Trump wins, he can do it right after. If Biden wins, he can do it right after. There should be reasonable balance in all of our branches of government (not to liberal and not to conservative). Deliberately putting two fingers (instead of just one) on the scales with any political affiliation in any form of government is a bad thing. This is a power grab and a rush job by the Conservatives and they are putting aside / on hold issues that Americans need immediate help with now for this rush job / power grab, such as with another stimulus. Make no mistake about that.

Also, if Biden (a democrat) wins election, he and the Democrats should NOT pack the SC. It should maintain the number it is from here on out.

If the GOP will simply stand down on this point, then court packing will not be needed and Biden can simply fill RBG's seat.

It's only because this is not being considered that the discussion has escalated to alternative remedies.

Absolutely, it would be.

The ONLY reason Democrats would seek to pack the SCOTUS would be to steal from the American people, after all that's the primary goal of all Democrats.

If they seek to do that, it's absolutely worth the bloodshed. An attack like that on the people can only have one response.

Again, if you seek to burn the entire system down, there will be a heavy price to pay.

Should the Dems take the WH and senate in Nov. they aren't going to pack the USSC.

Not a chance. It isn't a fight the Dem leadership wants.

The percentage of Americans who oppose court packing is much higher, it's probably 58% based on a poll conducted by the liberal media, not too long ago I heard it was over 80%.
