Watergate essentially CONSUMED all of the political efforts of the presidency, the senate, and congress for the Nixon admin and carrying into the Ford admin. The hearings were broadcast live all day long.
Regardless of the outcome of the upcoming election, little, if anything new in the form of legislation or agendas will be accomplished, as most of the time and effort will be spent on the upcoming Biden trials. This will reach to Obama and high ranking officials in the deep state (FBI being a big part) and will, in the end, prevent this "pay for play" corruption again.
The Biden hearings will occupy most of the time of federal politics and other plans/agendas will take a back seat.

True. But could it be "wrapped up" enough in three months to stick afterwards? Because if not, you know there will be some edict/excuse from the new regime to shut all investigation down.

This is a HUGE scandal that will take a few years to unwind with all the hearings, investigation, and prosecution.
Once the wheels start rolling, Biden (if POTUS) won't be able to stop it. Nixon would have loved to do the same, but was unable to do so.
If elected or not, Biden (and the DNC) is toast. And we have not even seen the biggest "bomb" that Gulliani says will be released 10 days before the election.
There are going to be A LOT of dems eating crow after this. They have unwittingly supported a candidate and a party that has made selling out the US to China part of their retirement plan.

There has been ZERO investigation of this scandal. Remember the debates when Trump said, "..we have it all on tape.."? Biden FROZE- he looked even more pale than he was before and knew exactly what Trump was talking about.

Denial is the way dems are dealing with this, as cognitive dissonance prevents them from exploring the possibility that their party is corrupt and, as a result, democrat homers have been played.
This is not going away, as there are too many people talking this time and all of the evidence is being corroborated by different sources.
Hunter Biden's pals in jail are singing like canaries and they are matching their documents to Hunter's laptop.
This "dream" is a nightmare for dems that is just beginning to unfold. Over the next few months, even dem homers will realize the depth of this investigation and will be forced to accept the truth.
It must suck to be a dem and have to deny and defend criminals. But then again, most dems have their pride and basic beliefs invested in the dem party, so it is going to be hard. Kind of like finding out that a parent is a child molester or some other form of deviant crook.

If Biden is surrounded by “felons” I am sure we’d have heard about it by now. This laptop story has never been credible, and Giuliani is not trustworthy. He and Bannon were trying to do in 2020 what was done to Hillary’s campaign in 2016, which is to pull something out of computer files at the last minute that seems incriminating, to sway voting.
But here’s the thing: this election is not really about Biden or Harris. It is a referendum on DJT. What is driving early voters, and the push for massive voting, is the people’s views on DJT. It matters little about drummed up stuff trying to smear Biden. The election is about DJT. Vast numbers of voters want to vote him out. Whether they will be able to, I do not know. But this election will not be swayed by dirty tricks or trumped up scandal.
If you dislike DJT, you will be voting for Biden. I think the election is about this. Nothing else.

Have you not been paying attention to the Trump white house these 4 years? The one common theme is all the felons surrounding Trump. The denial of some Trumpers really is astounding.
And Trump's guys run the justice department. Four years to lock up Hillary and charge Biden, Obama and whoever else Trump and Trumpers have been accusing of committing all sorts of crimes. Even though I dislike Hillary, Obama and Biden they have not been charged or convicted of anything. And the Obama administration was clean overall. Yet people surrounding Trump from Bannon to Michael Cohen and Manafort just to name 3 are convicted felons or going to be soon. There has never been a president with so many criminals very close to him. Even Nixon looks good in comparison.

The DOJ has.
If there was something there, it’d have come out then.
The current investigation by this government has to do with it being the result of foreign intelligence feeding it to Rudy. Not about it’s legitimacy, because they already have that answer.
You’re bias just makes you desperate for it to be real when out of everything it’s the one with the most holes in it.
