WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Wednesday said North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs pose a global threat, after Pyongyang’s unveiling of previously unseen intercontinental ballistic missiles at a predawn military parade.
The appearance of a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) during a weekend parade in North Korea captivated many Western analysts. But officials in South Korea were far more concerned by the display of new multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and fast, maneuverable short-range missiles that would be ideal for striking targets in the South.
Speaking before the start of a meeting with South Korean Defense Minister Suh Wook at the Pentagon, Esper said: “We agree that North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs remain a serious threat to the security and stability of the region and the world.”
This program was developed under Obama. He sat back and let them develop it. By the time Trump was president, there was no acceptable solution other than negotiation. Which, guess what? Trump tried to do. He is the first president to meet with the North Korean leader.
I’d like to see who the lobbyists, sorry I mean donors, that line the pockets of mr. esper.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see names of “defense” contractors in the list. Can’t sell their “defense” weapons if they don’t sell a scary narrative to the world.
Please. They wouldnt be dumb enough to use them. They would be wiped off the map and they know it. Its a little rinky dink country. The family is crazy but they aren't stupid

Bu...bu...bu....but OBAMA!!
Yes, Trump went there to salute NK generals and to say he loves Kim, but here we are with ICBSs aimed at out cities.
North Korea has been working on its weapons program for years. It doesn't want to nuke anybody; it wants credibility on the global stage and a seat at the big boy table. Does anybody in the U.S. actually want to go to war and send soldiers to die to prevent that scenario?
