I don't know who is claiming this "narrative". We all know that other people have gotten Remdesivir...
When they are very sick and in the ICU.
The question is why Trump got it when he supposedly only had "mild" symptoms and was never close to ICU level ill?
And the other question is why is Trump supporting Fauci and Bill Gates' drug?
Seems like just yesterday you right wingers were claiming that Fauci and Bill Gates were behind this drug because they could make a bunch of money but only if they could discredit HCQ while pimping Remdesivir.
Could it be Trump is now involved in this Remdesivir conspiracy?

I don't think that's true for Remdesivir. Anyone in the hospital with COVID can be prescribed it, not just those critically ill. The Trump administration has made it possible for most anyone to get the medications he had gotten such as Regeneron, if your doctor applies for it.
It wasn't remdesivir that was the one that is not available it is the antibody cocktail that is not out of testing phases that is not available to the general public.
The remdesivir and the steroid are being used, just not in those with "mild symptoms" like Trump was reported to have. They are used in patients with severe cases.

The antibody cocktail is available to the general public under the Trump administration compassionate care rule, or if you get enrolled in a study. A lot of it has to do with how aggressive or conservative one's doctor wants to treat the illness. Aggressive treatment often isn't better treatment. Besides why shouldn't someone as important as the President have quicker access to treatment his doctor thinks is needed?

No one said a president should not have quicker access. One has said, however, that a president should not downplay a virus and then act like a weakling when it comes time to face the virus. Extremely hypocritical to been an arse about it, flout guidelines, but then ensure you get VIP treatment. It's really easier to be cavalier and Mr. Big Pants when you have access to everything medicine has to offer as quickly as snapping your fingers--and that's with a "mild" case.
