But, I digress, as usual.

Wal-Mart and their ilk maximize their profits by labor practices that I consider unsavory. Some in this thread call for government restrictions to prevent this. Others roll out a variety of free market "greed is good" cliches.

I choose neither side. I call upon Americans to act like Americans, according to the values that that is supposed to represent. These values are directly derived from our ancestors; to whit, Moses the Lawgiver, and the Athenian vision of the Gods from Olympus.

I used to live in the Bay Area. And, I used to get into trouble all the time saying stuff like this. Seems my cultural sensitivity was not up to what people expect. My blood ancestors were a bunch of savages who painted their faces with woad. My more recent blood ancestors accepted the values that I mention above because they're better, not because they invented them.

Yeah, that's a value judgement.

SLPC for me (southern poverty law center), they are extreme left wing activists that lie and cheat to promote their woke ideology
