Yep. YOU are the one with the infection.
Microns? Some chunk (really, most, but lets just say "some") of that virus is attached to your moisty-mouth close-talking exhalations - and - wait for it - DOSAGE MATTERS - so if even ONE micron is caught by your mask - - you may be saving someone else. Meantime, try spitting an ice cube across the room with your mask on. Same with a micron. Ya can't do it.
Really - really - baffling how this is still misunderstood after all this time.
If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are taking care of a person with COVID-19.
Totally agree. The problem is - YOU are not healthy.

People are being asked to wear cloth masks, not surgical masks. Surgical masks have been sold out for months.
Around here they have people making cloth masks for healthcare workers because there's a short supply of non-cloth masks. They do this to protect the workers. Yet people keep insisting that the masks don't protect you but those around you. So, these masks don't protect the workers when they wear them.
In between screenings the workers have not always been changing gloves. So, if an asymptomatic person passes screening then the worker touches the next person with their contaminated, gloved hands. They are wearing the cloth mask that doesn't protect them from catching the virus. So, the workers are still spreading it around.
