Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has some advice for Americans facing shortages in bath tissue: use a corn cob (sans corn) instead.
"Those of us from rural south know how to handle toilet paper shortage," Huckabee, a longtime ally of President Donald Trump, tweeted. "Eat more corn on the cob! The corn isn't important, but the cobs are free and work great! (Just don't flush them!) You're welcome!"
As a young rural Southerner back in the 40’s who spent a lot of time out in the boonies. There was one time when I needed some TP. I had none,, there also was no corn field nearby. However, there was a swamp and swamps have lily pads. Based on my experience, don’t use lily pads.
It any case there is no real shortage, just bunch of hoarders messing up the supply chain (similar to gun enthusiasts lining up during deliberately induced ammo anxieties).
Toilet paper is manufactured domestically, the factories are running and we have an abundant supply of source material. They have always been able to keep up so there is no reason to worry.
