I was addressing the point NWS was undermined. They weren't. You are certainly free to believe differently.

No one who sees conflicting info from weather people and elected officials is taking the elected officials word first.

It has also been on BBC News, and has been reported in international newspapers. Yes, Trump thinks the entire world is fake news. It isn't. He is.

Do you honestly believe that when a president acts irrationally, everyone should put their heads in the sand and pretend he's normal? You believe this is normal behavior for anyone, never mind a president?

A person this disconnected from reality would have a very hard time holding down a job. He does not live in the real world. And reporting that is not "childish" at all--it would be irresponsible to overlook it. The emperor really has no clothes.

Why are you surprised that international newspapers are reporting drivel the American press churns out?

Trump isn't disconnected from reality.

There were reports that showed Dorian possibly scraping AL which would have meant tropical force winds beyond the cone shown on the map. And that's what he said...…..they might get some wind or something like that.

For whatever reason he reported that past its shelf life. We don't know the reason because as usual THE PRESS DID NOT DO THEIR JOB. Their only goal was to make him look bad.

Then without knowing the reason they doubled down and went on a tirade about dementia, golf, lack of briefings, ignorance of geography etc.

Is that the sort of journalism you would approve if you were an editor?

Wouldn't the first thing you did as an editor be to tell the stupid reporter to go back and find out why the WH/NWS were issuing conflicting info?

I heard either CNN or MSNBC today, that during this time, Biden have made a few gaffes. But, Trump is too busy tweeting and keeping this story alive to notice and comment about it. But, I guess he is a gaffe machine as well.

This is just one small piece.

If they were just interested in reporting the news, they would have asked the white house why the president was reporting contradictory info to the NWS or why his briefings on storm impact weren't up to date.

That's there job isn't it? To get to the truth and report it.
Yes, reporting the truth is their job. What Trump says and does is the truth of what he says and does, although what he says and does is rarely the truth in itself. They report it. This is not their fault.

This is what pathological liars do. Trump literally had zero reason to randomly add Alabama the areas affected by Dorian, but he does it anyway, because lying is a fact of life for him. Worse yet is, he actually doubles down on his stupidity. In another life, Trump would be that homeless guy muttering these things to himself, in this twilight zone version of reality, he's the president of the United States, needlessly panicking the citizens of Alabama for no reason at all. Republicans just don't seem to comprehend the danger of a president, who dishes out critical false information it's citizens and allies, like a homeowner gives out candy on halloween.
