You really believe that?
Obama had an average 1.6% GDP growth over his eight years even with the Fed lowering interest rates to near ZERO. No, it was not an immediate change, but you have to admit Trump's policies have helped to improve the economy.

Obama was happy when the price of gasoline went over $4/gallon. He said it helped to reduce demand. IDIOT.

Honestly I kind of forgot about Obama (thought he was a decent president, but that's in the past), but now our current President keeps talking about him, which brings me to this thread.

I know Trump is kind of a basket case, but he doesn't make himself look any better by trying to compare himself to Obama, so I am just not sure whey he keeps bringing him up.

Show me one news clipping where Obama, while serving in the office of the President, complained about George W Bush. You can't, because it never happened.

Trump is unusual for someone in a position of leadership in that he never accepts responsibility for anything bad. He just bad mouths his predecessors. It's just weird.

Please show a link that indicates Obama was happy about higher gas prices.

Support your contention.

Why would you state an average of those eight years when you know that the economy was going into the tank at the end of the Bush administration and bottomed out in the first years of Obama's administration? The turnaround began well after Obama took office.

GDP growth (or contraction) rate
2006: 2.9%
2007: 1.9% banking crises
2008:-0.1% widespread recession
2009:-2.5% ARRA in early 2009
2010: 2.6%
2011: 1.6%
2012: 2.2%
2013: 1.8%
2014: 2.5%
2015: 2.9%
2016: 1.6%
2017: 2.4%
2018: 2.9%

He doesn't associate with pedophiles and treasonous traitors.
President Obama doesn't have his former campaign officials charged.
He won via popular vote AND electoral basically without the help of Wikileaks and Russia.
His approval rating low is higher than Trump's highest approval rating.
He won a Noble Peace Prize. Trump had to bribe foreign officials to nominate him for awards.
Trump isn't popular. His birthism con didn't plan out.
Trump has scammed folks including college student and charities. He inherited a good economy from Obama.
Trump can't come up with a decent healthcare or immigration plan.
Trump's presidency is a failure just like many of his scams and business.
The list goes on and on.

OP, you hit it spot on.
Also, Obama and Michelle look happily married while Trump and Melania, well, not so much. Then Trump followers even have the nerve to say that Melania is a true role model for young women unlike Michelle.

There is a video out there showing Trump meeting with world leaders and how he also can’t stop talking about Obama to them. “Obama was terrible because…Obama did all these bad things…Obamacare care is terrible…”. The facial expressions of these world leaders says it all. They roll their eyes up, they look away, they contain their laughter, one even gives a quick thumb up while Trump continues to flap his lips badmouthing Obama.

Trump wants the national adoration that Obama had, for his ego. But hes a spoiled child, and has no idea how to earn it. I know hw reads his tweet replies and sees all the vitriol. Hes totally clueless as to why, but its because of how out of touch he is with reality.

It's not just Trump's obsession, the entire Republican party apparatus have attempted to remove his name from all legislation for some reason. Seems they are fighting yesterday's battles with today's time and political currency. They have spent too much time looking backward, running on a return to the 1950's "Greatness" that could never be recreated with out removing 2/3rd's of the world economy, like after WW2.

So we have three futile attempts going on at the same which is why this Presidency is a mess (even supporters know this is not a well oiled machine).

1) Attempting to erase the FIRST Black President from history books is futile. Even without any political wins, he would still be the Only Black President of the USA, and darn hard for school children to miss when looking at pictures of Presidents.

2) The economy of the 1950's will not return through wishful thinking. You need a huge innovation push or other 1st world countries economies to fail (post WW2 Europe and Asia), or be happy with 2-3% GDP growth

3) Nothing proposed by Trump was innovative are meant to bring any change, he ran on: Return to old, build wall, and a tax cut. None of those options were going to improve the economy in any significant way. We have had many tax cuts and they don't stimulate the economy past the initial 6 months post.

We can argue about Obama vs Trump all day and no one would move much on their opinions. Or we can be realistic about the current situation and look for actual solutions. The world and economy is not going to wait until we get our crap together. Asia is ready to take over and Europe seems open to shifting purchases to Asia to avoid more tariff issues.

Solutions to issues this large require bipartisan work and agreements as nothing will pass the Senate with a party line vote. Good luck with today's climate.

Trump will never have the respect and admiration of the majority of American people that Obama has.
