The 35-year-old Seattle man was awakened by the sound of a broken window, and called 911 at 2:40 a.m. while hiding in his closet. The police didn't make it in time. While still on the call, the homeowner can be heard shooting after the intruder found and approached him.
Though this 29-year-old turned out to be unarmed, there have been many home invasions in the Seattle area. Police said that the homeowner, a father whose children were luckily not with him during the break-in, will not be charged, and their investigation is complete.
Also, kudos to the calm and level-headed 911 operator, just three weeks into her job:
Being on the left coast wouldn't surprise me one bit some special prosecutor charges him with some asinine law for daring to defend his property...good shot and another dead scumbag.

This is a great example of why people should own firearms, not so they can walk around Wal-Mart with an AR strapped to their back (cuz……Freedom!) but to keep their castle safe. One less scumbag in the world, hope they got the perps who were with him.
