So you're onboard with huge swaths of territory that are overwhelmingly becoming the fiefdoms of their urban overlords, with whom they bitterly disagree on just about everything politically? You believe that places where the rural population turns blue urban areas into unwilling fiefdoms is equally valid?

We tried that once.

The result?

Over 600,000 dead, at that time a sizable fraction of the population.

No thanks.

Urban areas have:

The highest poverty rates
The highest income/wealth gaps
The most racial segregation

And they are overwhelmingly governed by Dems. Why would anyone vote for that?

So is the population of blue states NY and CA, which lead the US in outmigration.

Lightbulb Should we split the country?

Maybe we should consider giving Trumplings their own semi-autonomous state.

A place where they won't have to come into contact with anyone who isn't one of them.

Because they fear and loathe any sort of differing opinion.

They have such a strong desire for their very own safe space.

Oklahoma would be a good fit.

Human beings are social creatures. We always have been.

We are meant to live together in groups.

I don’t understand people that want to isolate themselves in podunk nowhere away from any other human contact.

No, it wouldn't. "Sanctuary" open border blue states would be a welfare magnet. Exactly what has happened in CA...

Is California a welfare magnet? - The San Diego Union-Tribune

What's happening, simultaneously, is that CA's taxpayers are fleeing to other states while the poor are flocking to CA for the public assistance benefits. That's why SF has "poop maps" and there are so many homeless tent encampments in Los Angeles, etc.

It will be easier if the ones who said they would leave the Country IF Trump would win, will leave now!

You must be a racist. There's an entire ad campaign devoted to exactly such isolation...

I've been to all those places. And while they have significant issues, none approach third world status. I grew up in a struggling midwestern city near Detroit.

You sound very ignorant when you suggest this equivalency.
