What exactly are you trying to prove OP... that the bloated U.S. government is the biggest threat to the U.S. economy?

I’ve never seen someone pretend to be a shadow for so long.

Government shutdown cost U.S. more than Trump's wall demand
Michael B. Kelley 6 hours ago

Lost productivity from furloughed workers and weakened economic activity during the 35-day partial government shutdown cost the U.S. economy at least $6 billion, according to a new analysis from S&P Global Ratings.

Trumps a fool.

My husband and I were discussing this. Mr. Zenstyle said, "he's known in Washington as a very bright guy." I expressed astonishment at this statement. Can this be true?
If so, McConnell is surely not going to countenance more shenanigans by the asterisk president. Or will he?
McConnell learned that a growing portion of the GOP Senate may be willing to turn the turtle over on his back and let him bake in the noon sun.

Just stop. When 800,000 of anybody, Federal or Private, are suddenly held hostage and don’t get paid for the work they do, believe me the media will be on it.

I am surprised that he could keep them in line for this long, I would have loved to be in the room with some of the prior meetings, There was a lot of pressure in the republican senators for this disaster and the landslide was imminent and would have been embarrassing for Trump. McConnell knows that Trump went too far this time and told him so Thursday night.

You act like the shutdown is offically over.

We have 3 weeks for this to be solved or we're back to square one.

Pelosi didn't shut down the govt. Trump did, and he even promised to own it on national TV
