This is the third time he has shut down the government. in 2 years. ALL while his party held the house and senate. Its mind boggling that you are even remotely OK with this nonsense.
This is getting insane. Hopefully comments like this will get members of his party to finally stand up and talk some sense into him. I'm sure some of his base loves this, until they realize that there are vital parts of the government that are important to everyday life. Regulating food and drugs (FDA), travel security (TSA), environmental issues (EPA), homeland security, regulating agriculture, just to name a few, are things you don't notice until something really bad happens. A shutdown for even a few "months" and certainly "years," would demonstrate how vital much of government is to a developed nation. Even I think parts of the government can be eliminated and/or be more efficient, but it is scary that the President would even suggest shutting it down for "months" or "years," even if he's just posturing. That would do far more damage to the country than being without a wall!
First, the government isn't "SHUT DOWN". Pelosi and Schumer are getting their checks!
I doubt anyone is feeling anything negative and life goes on exactly as it did two weeks ago.
The only people hurt are non-essential employees, which in all honestly shouldn't have a job if they are not essential. Also some federal law enforcement agents in several agencies will not get a check. The irony here is that they're fine with not getting paid if it means getting border security done.
Did anyone see the presser yesterday with all the agency managers and law enforcement chairs standing with Trump?
Both parties are responsible for the last 30 years of getting paid for doing nothing.
The real damage to this country is not doing a damn thing!

The Dems are keeping the government partially shuttered the government over $5B while claiming it is costing taxpayers billions.

They promised Trump would get at least partial funding back in Jan 2018, then after he signed the massive budget where everyone got everything, they turned around and broke their promise. Go figure.
