This is pathetic and desperate .

Democratic congressional candidate Sean Casten said that President Donald Trump has a “tremendous amount in common” with Osama Bin Laden during a February meeting with voters.
“In many ways — and I don’t mean to sound overly, I don’t know, hyperbolic on this — Trump and Osama Bin Laden have a tremendous amount in common,” Casten said at a meet-and-greet in Illinois, according to audio obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
Osama Bin Laden was a founder of al-Qaeda and was responsible for the September 11, 2001 attacks on U.S. soil that killed nearly 3,000 people.
“They have both figured out how to use the bully pulpit to activate marginalized young men, right? It’s the same tool,” Casten said. “Every demagogue has done this — find a group of angry people and give them something to be angry at.”

You mention Dems. That indicates more than one. But you only cite one Democrat who made the loopy comparison of Trump to Bin Laden. Who are the other Dems who have made this comparison.

Yeah you are right , the more popular comparison is Hitler .
No one should be compared to bin Laden. It stops all meaningful debate as does mentioning Hitler. Or like when posters on C-D call Clinton Hitlary. Lots o stupid going round on both sides.

I'm not here to damn this man who used this phrase, but you go a long way to defend him. That's fine. That's your right.
I'm not defending the man. I don't care about the man. I'm defending English. I'm defending speaking a language the way it is commonly spoken without introducing an evil "monkeyshine" hiding behind every word. We need to get that monkey off our backs.

Mainly because I rely on dictionaries and commonly spoken language for definitions, not American Liberals.
If you want to create your own language, feel free to do so. L. L. Zamenhof did, and it is a fine language indeed--an incredible achievement. But contorting the English language to suit your motives is not an incredible achievement. It's a travesty.
