I just started reading this thread, so I would be surprised if no one has already leapt at the statement bolded above. Most black women wear wigs? REALLY?
I'm not black. Can a a female who is tell me why black women can't get their hair wet? I honestly do not understand. I mean, you have to wash your hair, so it gets wet...
As for swim caps, when I was a little kid first learning to swim, my mom made me wear them for awhile until I complained enough to make her stop forcing me. Most horrible things ever invented. Way too tight and they hurt.
Another poster answered you but let me also add we don’t have to wash our hair daily so it’s. It as easy as wash and go. Many times it takes hours for us to get a hair style.
I agreed with you until you until the second paragraph. Most Black women DO NOT wear wigs.
Most adult black women do not display their own hair naturally, however, and the chemicals of pool water are injurious to all non-natural displays of hair. The chemicals are not benign to natural hair either, but natural hair can more easily withstand the chemicals.
I don't see why anyone should think white people are obligated to devise a solution for black people.
