Trump should have known it too, but he was so fixated on having a mandate from the voters that he latched onto some blogger's unfounded claim of voter fraud. (Clinton receives 2.9 million more popular votes, so there just must have been 3 million fraudulent votes ... at least! )
Once the commission realized that Trump's belief that "millions" of voter frauds was all nonsense, they dissolved the committee but rather than admit that they had nothing, they preferred to allow that urban legend to keep circulating among the right-wing gullibles ...

I challenge every person who thinks we have widespread voter fraud to get their precinct voting list and verify who lives in what house. Then see if they vote. I used to do it all the time back when I was a Bircher in a deep blue state.
It is so damn easy, makes me wonder why they haven'y done it already.
Unless they just like to sit on their butts and beotch.
We should keep looking. It's too important to just give up.
I hear you. It certainly is less important than our president browsing through 150 channels and finding the dumbest person available on the TV and then declaring the winner on Tweeter
Russian instigated fraudulent voting is why Trump got elected.
Voter ID is unfair to voters, should not be allowed, banned where it exists.
Their complete derangement has to be seen to be believed.
There is no question that voter fraud at the local polls is extremely rare as a percentage of ballots cast. It is a made-up crises, an excuse, not than a reason to strip the voter rolls.
This 'voter ID' scheme is just an attempt to suppress voter participation. In term of numbers far more legitimate voters are stripped of their legitimate constitutional rights by these ongoing schemes than ever have voted fraudulently. The techniques we already use locally to assure legitimate participation have worked for many decades with excellent results, and they do not requires non-drivers or the infirm to go through extra trouble (travel, time, expenses and imposing on friends or neighbors) to secure an ID they would not ordinarily need otherwise.
There has been open admission that Republicans are using this to depress the turnout of poorer and less fortunate people. We've got you figured out kitty.
It is odd that Republicans are so deranged as to become obsessive over a problem that doesn't really exist while deliberately ignoring a real threat to our sovereignty posed by Russian meddling.
Claims of illegal voting has been going on for years and will continue. I doubt many are getting worked up by this. So how many was exaggerated: no surprise. Was there some, most likely and there will be some next time around until voter ID is a requirement to place a vote.
