There is no Democratic plot, unless you mean we want to see Mueller complete his investigation. That republican-begotten enterprise, BTW, will most certainly be finished in due time, and guilt and innocence will be determined and announced in Mueller's final report to Congress. We keep waiting on the Balloon Buffoon to march over to Bobby Three Sticks' office and set him straight and provide proof that he is pure as the driven snow, but he seems to be a bit shy for some reason.
Sorry, the investigation with Trump as the White Whale, on no evidence, is the plot.
Your perspective that he (the President) needs to "march over" to an unelected political hack's office, who is conducting a hostile partisan investigation, to "prove" innocence is prima facie evidence of that the liberal notion of this corrupt investigation is corrupt.
I don't know if it's a sting... there's a lot of speculation though.

Our Justice Dept and the intelligence agencies do a fine job on behalf of our country. They are filled with many deeply skilled professionals who have dedicated their lives to keeping you safe and our way of government vital. That you see fit to smear them with lies out of your allegiance to a well-known liar is a disgrace.

At this point, he's got you siding with Putin over our Justice Department, so I'd say you can just go ahead and stop standing up when they play the anthem at baseball games. Take a knee for Russia.
