80% of the population wanted it to stay. Isn’t this a democracy?

No it's not.

I thought the democrats saved net neutrality?

I mean there were threads saying that, what happened?

Good. There was nothing "neutral" about the naked power grab that was Net Neutrality. It was an increase in government meddling, and it was reversed. The Internet did just fine for 20 years without it, it will be just fine without it now.

How in the world did we survive without net neutrality? I'm pretty sure the sky is falling!

It was a principle. This was to keep it as a law.

Hope your happy once the ISP starts charging you extra for “delux packages”, because now you have to pay an extra $20 for your favorite sites. And ISPs can cap the speed on services that they don’t own to get you to use their’s at an extra cost. Like if Comcast owned Hulu and therefore they cap ge speed on netflix and then put an ad for “pay and extra $20 a month for our hulu package!”.

And hey can control the content that flows through. Anything with politics. If a certain movement like lets say, your gun rights goes againts the company’s agenda, they can block the content and make it hard to find.

Its not the government you should be worried about, its corporate America. The government is there to keep entities such as that from overreaching. Meanwhile the people keep the government in check.

But it isnt like that anymore. Corporations call the shots now.
