Trump's EPA lowers pollution standards, allowing for more mercury, benzene and nitrogen oxides to be released.

Poetic justice would have that being done 1/4 mile upwind of Mar-A-Lago.

Republicans absolutely hate protecting the environment. West coast states will continue with environmental protections while we watch Trump destroy red states.

Western states reject Trump’s environmental deregulation

I hear ya but I don't know why protecting the environment has turned into a liberal and conservative issue. It was Richard Nixon who created the EPA for heaven's sake! Shouldn't an issue like this be common sense and irrelevant of one's political affiliations?

One would think but Republicans have been trying to remove environmental protections for decades and Trump is no different.

It is all about greed. Greed trumps life. An extra dollar of salary for a CEO is worth a person living next door to that CEO's plant getting cancer. If the plant is in a red state they both vote the same person. I suppose that in itself could be a definition of insanity.
