Nice to see that response from you, and you've been consistent in this thread.
As stated earlier, I expected this to be the charge, and I'm just glad he was convicted and will do time.
I agree, it should have been attempted murder, but he could have got off scott free, so I'll take the little bit of justice as a minor victory.
You see nothing wrong with a wife seeing a young black man approaching the home at a time kids are going to school, read not in the middle of the night, and screaming to her husband that they were about to get robbed? I mean that's about as racists as it gets.
he didn't say it wasn't wrong, he asked why it was considered 'racist' by default.
considering the wife herself was black, it's a valid question.
The shooter was served with a 4 to 10 year sentence. Eligible for parole after 4 years.
Wow, thankful there was video and the kid was quick enough to run away. Thank gawd this sob's bullet didn't hit the boy or anyone else around. His wife should do prison time as well.

The mom and son gave an interview. They seemed ok but like the mom said "We aren't ok even though it seems like it". How could they be?
That video is insane. If the kid didn't see the moron with the gun through the door until a few seconds later or he was a little slower running away he could have been shot and possibly killed.
Based upon all the facts, the sentence is not ridiculous.
With no priors and the kid unscathed, jail time was guaranteed but a lighter sentence is not without merit giving the surrounding circumstances.
It was attempted murder but I understand that given the circumstances the prosecutor probably didn't want to overcharge or go too hard resulting in the moron walking free. I'm always the first to acknowledge the pitfalls of overcharging.
At least now he has it on his record. Something tells me this POS is going to do something even more stupid upon release.
lets see, a freshman used to riding the bus to school, and probably never paid attention to the route the bus took to get to school, couple that with the average teens short attention span, and i can see where he would get confused as to how to get to school.
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din.
C'mon. Who doesn't know where his school is and how to get there?
Give me a break.
