I think any random person off the street would have a good chance of being a better person than Moore.
It would seem that the low-information, Republican voters of Alabama would be overwhelmed by all this. And considering that writing-in a name on a ballot, would be stretching the literary capabilities of many of them, it seems to all be a cascade of bonuses for Doug Jones, the 49th Democratic Senator.
The only question at this point, is will the Republican Governor postpone the election, to sabotage the process? If that happens, it may be a preview of what the Republicans might try to do to the national elections next fall, to avoid a ruinous defeat.
This should be an interesting dynamic. I could see this guy siphoning off as many Jones votes as Moore votes. Lots of people who were leaning toward Jones because they didn't want to vote for Moore (even though they'd normally vote republican) might write in this guy instead.
