While I don't disagree with your general sentiments, it isn't as if governments themselves don't murder people on a daily basis.
We can have a debate about whether it is ever appropriate to kill "innocent" people(as opposed to suspected terrorists/militants/etc). But it isn't as if governments are, in principle, opposed to killing innocent people, if it serves their "national interests".
The truth is, the world is governed by only one principle, "The end justifies the means".
Isn't the mantra of the leftist, "to do the greatest good, for the greater number", or to "sacrifice the few, for the good of the many"?
When you start looking at the world this way, you can justify all kinds of cruelty. And we do.

To be fair, this is actually one of the most tame of the internet political websites. The echo chambers of hate are elsewhere. I like this forum, because it has the highest proportion of people who are willing to have a discussion, rather than just spew rhetoric.
That isn't to say that they represent the majority. There are idiots everywhere. But I highly doubt anyone was "radicalized" from this forum.
