Communists had overthrown the government in russia and had tried in munich, berlin and all over europe, the nazis formed as anti-Marxist and opposed to the Weimar Republic and the Treaty of Versailles. The freikorps and later the SA and Hitler were always fighting with the communists int the streets, just like today.

Now the war on statues that as little as 6 months ago weren't even mentioned. The butt hurt craze is out of control.
The White Dude with the Confederate flag that shot all those people in a Church Bible study may have had just a little effect on "mention" of some things. Lots of other similar situations and crimes.

Unfortunately - speaking of butthurt - as a educator, I am REALLY butthurt that millions of children are today being taught that the Traitors of the Confederacy were not fighting for the Right to Own Human Beings.
This is MUCH more dangerous than removal or keeping of statues or building names. Wouldn't you agree? Those (Texas approved) schoolbooks are setting us up for another generation or two of "misunderstandings".
