News report

From the article, quoting the report:

Quote:
...the study of 600,000 official Iraqi documents and thousands of hours of interrogations of former Saddam Hussein colleagues "found no smoking gun (i.e. direct connection) between Saddam's Iraq and Al Qaeda...
But I assume this won't put such claims to rest, will it?

I think alot of people knew that. But we went to war anyway. I think the same will happen with Iran. The government is just looking for an excuse to strike.

I think that is the correct assessment

Saddam hated Al Qaeda and Bin Laden because he was a threat to his so called secular government. Al Qaeda wants to establish Islamic law throughout the middle east. How anybody thought there was a connection boogles my mind.

One week ago, there was NO CREDIBLE LINK between Elliott Spitzer and Prostitution. Spitzer was well known to HATE prostitution, and vigorously prosecuted "call-girl" operations. He was a SWORN ENEMY of prostitution. We all KNEW how much he was against this, because he TOLD us so.....

Turns out we were WRONG....

There is no such thing as an Iraq Surrender Agreement. The so-called Gulf War was ended via a cease-fire, terms of which were offered in UN Security Council Resolution 687 which was subsequently accepted by Iraq, making the Resolution binding on all member parties.

It really doesn't matter though. Saddam agreed to the U.N. resolution that mandated particular actions, which he failed to adhere to. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and Bush never claimed it did, regardless of what the anti-Bush forces like to state.
