In my lifetime, I think of her along the same lines as Nancy Reagan. That is not a compliment coming from me. Both superficial, all about appearances. Style without substance. Nancy spent on décor in the WH like a drunken sailor. Melania is a grifter like that whole family, and a birther to boot.

Michelle was my favorite. Educated, classy, and a great speaker.

I liked both the Bush first ladies just fine. Laura especially - she is much smarter than her husband. I hated the awful things people said about Barbara's appearance. I don't agree with the Bushes' politics, but I think they're decent, patriotic people.

Hilary went through so much as a first lady. She obviously wanted to be in the game, moreso than any FL I've seen, so it's hard for me to think of her in that light.

So far she has said and done nothing. So all that's left is most pneumatic.
She's had great opportunities to show off her famed multi-language skills in Europe but stuck to broken English.

I guess time will tell. So far, she's not done much.

I was a big fan of both Michelle Obama and Laura Bush. I don't remember Barbara as much and Hillary, I think did better as a Senator than she did as First Lady.

Giver her time and we will see. She is multi-lingual. Beautiful and carries herself well.
I didn't have a lot against Mrs. Obama, seemed a bit angry for my taste.

#1 hottest First Lady ever, that's her standing.

She seems very quiet, often unhappy, likely due to her husband's behavior. Not sure if she will show much personality in the future.

How was Mrs. Obama angry? She always seemed happy alongside her husband and children, spearheaded positive causes...

Many people were angry at her for no reason...

We only have history books (oh wait, I'm old - let's make that modern and say Google) to decide amongst all of the First Ladies ever. Since 1960 when I was born, based on many factors from simple "stage presence" to their involvement with being a representative for our country and active across many fronts, I think we've had several decent ones despite of their POTUS husbands (good or bad). Kennedy, Obama, Reagan - all I feel were decent in their "roles".

In my opinion, because of Donald Trump I don't believe Melania stands a chance of being thought of as anything but a trophy First Lady for Donald, even if she is capable of being something really good.
She'll have the distinction of being the only first lady to ever have her nude and soft porn photos broadcast all over social media. That and being the only one ever bought and paid for and kept as chattel. She'll do what she's told. I would imagine the pre-nup spells that out clearly and succinctly. I'm surprised she isn't required to wear a tag in her ear.

Obama was a work horse, not a show horse. He had ample personality for the job, and was a devoted husband and father.

Only if she can elbow her way past the real first lady Ivanka.
