In 2013, President Obama asked Congress for approval to take military action in Syria. The Republicans in Congress said no. Donald Trump tweeted at the time that Obama should not get involved in Syria.

I'm glad Trump fired those missiles, but for him to blame Obama for the situation is about as hypocritical as it gets.

Companionate (adjective formal) - (of a marriage or relationship) between partners or spouses as equal companions.

What did it accomplish? Assad is back bombing with conventional weapons.

Do we sit back and act as if bombing his own with conventional weapons is OK?

Or do we get involved in another asinine war of regime change of no benefit to the US?

Why should we be involved in another country's civil war?

IMO Congress and Trump had the right idea in 2013.

Now? Not so much.

Of course Obama took the safe bet that he would get away with doing nothing by trying the congress that hated him. Being the political driven partisan he is. Trump set aside his politics to do the right thing. A sign of a potentially great President.

Plain stupid!

Beside provoking a war and putting Americans behind Syrians, taking unauthorized military action is an impeachable offense.

I'm not sure that you all have any idea of what other countries think about Trump.

So, would you have us believe that had Obama said he wanted to stay out of Syria that this "congress that hated him" would have acted and declared war on Syria in opposition of Obama?

Or just spouting another baseless Obama whine?

How so?

How did what Trump said was the wrong thing in 2013 magically become the right thing in 2017?

Not so much:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Powers_Resolution

From the article: The War Powers Resolution requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30-day withdrawal period, without a Congressional authorization for use of military force (AUMF) or a declaration of war by the United States

This is some of the most shameless BS I've ever seen. You're actually defending hypocrisy.

You know that saying that ****ty people: liberalism is a mental disorder. I'm modifying it: partisanship is the height of stupidity.
