So basically you're mad that some people and politicians will do what the republicans and their supporters did under the 'tyranny of Obama' over the last 8 years? The irony is palpable.
Do you really believe that? I am a working man and florished under the Obama years. Went from being on unemployment from a job that payed $10/hr to now making $1k/week
Well for every one person that had their lives improved, theres probably 1,000,000 lives went in the crapper via unemployment/Mass underemployment with Service Wage Obummer McJobs while the decent jobs with livable wages took off to India, China, Mexico, Bangladesh to people who work for $3/hr and no bathroom breaks
First of all, I'm not certain that Trump will last past March, let alone 8 years. And yes, I plan to protest any actions he takes that violate the principles our country is founded on. Protests have stopped one war and ended two presidencies in my lifetime.
^^^This. Be sure to write your representatives in D.C., too, as well as those at the state and local level. Tell them you want them to represent you accurately, and remind them that you vote.
My ancestors got to these shores pretty early, some of them as refugees from religious persecution. They fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War, and the two World Wars. They also included soldiers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, clergy, farmers, small businessmen, community leaders, and elected representatives.
I cannot stand by and be silent while what they fought and worked for is threatened.
Did republicans whine for 8 years? As long as the orange one does stupid EO's like the latest then yes there will be protests. It is a constitutional right for people to protest what they see as unjust so get over it and quit whining.
Yep - gotta love the right-wing loons. They think the right to "whine" is reserved only for their party. Hypocrites, as they always are. Even worse, they think they have the right to "alternate facts," but I won't get into that here.
As for the rest, there isn't a damn thing the Dumpster is going to do that will help American workers in any way other than feel good that "some brown Muslim somewhere is suffering."
Building a wall? Worthless waste of money since the actual problem is corporations hiring illegals at poverty wages; and that won't change a thing, wall or otherwise, since the companies will just find some other way to get their cheap, under-the-table labor.
Banning Muslims? Obvious problems here since it will discourage foreign business in the nation and waste money on storm-troopers checking people's religion
Getting rid of the Affordable Care Act? Yeah, because making health-care more expensive and impossible to get if you have a pre-existing condition is going to be great for American workers.
Starting various trade wars? Obvious failure: making products cost more does not help the American worker.
I could keep going, but since facts don't matter to right-wing loons, there's no point, sadly.
5 Memorable Moments When Town Hall Meetings Turned To Rage : It's All Politics : NPR "Demonstrations at some of these gatherings led to fistfights, arrests and even hospitalizations. News networks and protesters with camcorders and cellphones captured the often unruly gatherings as disgruntled citizens took the opportunity to execute — often loudly — their right to free speech."
How much tax payer money went into the 10s (50 times?) of attempts to vote for repeal of Obamacare when it was obvious that it would be veto'd? Wouldn't it make more sense to find a middle ground (compromise) until the next election cycle (like now)?
If that's not considered "whining" (on taxpayer money) I don't know what is.
Both sides do it... it is suppose to happen.. its part of the process.
