How could the United States fully Democratize, assimilate and ecomically equalize inner-city African-Americans? (minimum wage, Mexican)

Part of the problem in inner cities isn't just the attitudes of the kids. it is also poor classroom conditions. In some places specifically in NYC you have situation of not enough books, torn books and inadequate materials for teaching.
I think that there are several different factors at work here.
4) Inner City Society Itself. We as a society have to do more. At the same time, the inner city society has to do more for itself. That means valuing education, not a bunch of thugs. Doing more as citizens to eliminate crime. And STOP HAVING KIDS DURING THE TEENAGE YEARS. I don't care how many heartwarming stories you've read about a mom who had kids in her teenage years and somehow got them all to graduate college--the odds are decidedly against it. Have kids at that age and, while you're life isn't necessarily over, it gets, much, much harder to succeed.
Interesting thought, and one which COULD cause you some negative feedback--but you're right, (and MOST folks recognize it). The huge strides in civil rights and all SORTS of societal improvements over the past 50 years had the GOOD EFFECT of launching the majority of blacks out into the benefits and responsibilities of mainstream American society...where great numbers are doing reasonably well. and a few are doing VERY well.
The unintended "downside" to this, though, is that those 'left behind' in the inner city by the departure of their more ambitious neighbors, are in many ways WORSE OFF than the folks 50 years ago were. Those left behind tend to be those least capable of "changing"....and their problems tend to be more persistent, and their anger probably GREATER than that of past generations. The anger is probably intensified by the very fact that many of their one-time 'fellow sufferers" have now moved on, leaving the hard-core poor to stew in frustration, unable to even come up with the legitimate 'excuses' that existed in the days of segregation and discrimination.
There will always be a small part of the population that is simply unable to 'fit in' to modern society. ALL races have this problem. But when the "unadaptable" are also members of a racial or ethnic minority, it's easy to blame THIS for their plight. Increasingly, nowadays, the true reasons lie ELSEWHERE. Race becomes less and less a factor, and 'behavior' and lifestyle a BIGGER one..
With THAT attitude, you won't last long in politics....
Well yeah, you gotta be dirty before getting into politics. If not, you'd just get really dirty anyway. Most are well-off and probably don't car if an individual citizen has health insurance than a banker cares if an individual pays their mortgage. It's all about how things look from an overview.

As you say, it's true in many other areas. That being said, the way we fund education is completely at odds with what it takes to help kids succeed.
What's more, it's not about some arbitrary spending per child. The Economist magazine did an interest story on this subject, comparing educational achievement in different countries compared to spending levels. There was absolutely zero correlation between spending per pupil and classroom achievement. Yet if you ask the education lobby in the country, and they'll tell you the same thing--We need more money.
Well, of course, they're going to say that. Yet comparatively little of those education spending increases make it to the actual classrooms in the form of teacher salaries and supplies. Instead, you have a bloated educational bureaucracy generating makework programs for the people in the trenches. Hey, don't take my word for it. Ask any teacher you know.
Need an example? Atlanta schools spend $10,993 per student. Yet Atlanta city schools aren't worth a rip. For that same amount of money, you could pay a teacher to individually tutor five kids in their homes, and bring them lunch at the same time. What's more, the kids would do far, far better.
Need another example? I work with a private, inner city school. Granted, they do not take special needs children, but they take everybody else. Their two conditions for entry? The children must behave and do their work and the parents must participate in the education of their children. The result? Standardized test scores are as good, and in some cases better, than better funded suburban schools.

I'm always astonished at the number of people who will cluck their tongues at the persistence of inner city poverty, yet will turn around and support the cause of illegal immigrants in this country. I'm sorry, but somebody from Veracruz or Tegucigalpa who sneaks across the border is taking the job of an American who could be working in a restaurant, a hotel, or somewhere similar. Only when this country has absolute full employment should we consider a guest worker program. ''
I agree. I really doubt that many are illegally crossing with Tegucigalpa, being that that's the capital of Honduras. They'd have leap frog how many different borders. Mexico does a good job at contianing their southern border. Plus, they may have problems getting through Guatemala too. The only illegal crossing people into the United States are the poorest of Mexico. Any other illegal immigrant from whether it be Honduras, Dominican Republic, China or anywhere else overstayed their visa. No one else could physically literally enter our country, unless their were mysterious planes we didn't know about or boats crashing at our shores. But yes, they are taking jobs from Americans who need them. Most of the middle-class says who would want to make beds at a Super 8. They're probably right that no one wants to in this country, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of people who need work and are willing to do it.

It's very simple--most children will not go to college, and even fewer will get a degree. Yet, we continue to place all our emphasis on college preparatory curricula in schools. And teaching high-paying trades such as electrician apprentice, construction, plumbing, HVAC, mechanics, etc. etc. etc., to 15-, 16-, and 17-year-olds is considered suspect. Give a teenager 2-3 years of education in one of these well-paying fields, and you won't find that kid out on the streets at age 18. Hey, ask any major employer today. They can't find skilled workers, and they'll pay top dollar to get them. ''
Well, it's not that people aren't going to college. Actually, more continue to go to college. Some only get associates degrees. Some take really long. The problem is that when they do get out of college, they're a dime a dozen. Everyone wants to manage a retail store, but so many people want to do. People go through the motions until landing something they believe pays okay and is safe. Most of the time this works out, but competition could knock them out of that spot too. Not enough people go into technology or the fields that pay really well. Teaching people trades to become plumbers and electricians won't just provide people with more skills, but also a lot of entrepreneurial opportunities.

Yes, definitely. And this is why I purpose to eliminate welfare. In a slow process, but an applicable one too. We need to tell people the days of living in a home you aren't paying for (if they have the ability to) are over. Besides it forcing people to either work or not have children, it will also improve the conditions of where many disabled and elderly have to live. They shouldn't have to get stuck living around filth like they so often do. It's people obligation to work in this country. Our government needs to tell people if you can work and don't, you're going to get wet in the rain and starve to death. The days of being nice need to end if we want a better tomorrow.
If you can't get a job. that's another story. There's always someone out there willing to hire an honest person, who can get the job done, be proper and keep their mouth shut. It all starts from the beginning though. And if these inner-city parents can't teach there kids that the day you get a criminal record, you're life is practically over, than what can people expect? If someone can't have a conversation without talking like an invalid, than how is anyone suppose to hire them? Especially if their attitude sucks. Through the elimination of welfare, putting babies from non-working drug infested homes up for adoption or allowing them to live with the state, I guarantee we'd see an evaporating occurrence in the inner-cities.
HYPOCRISY IS WHY>
You people, mostly White America, are always castigating American Blacks and the areas American Blacks live in. True there are problems in some of these areas. True there are problems with you and areas you live in as well. However you have developed a really nasty habit of degrading the entire American Black population. Not a good thing to do.
You open the back door for others to come in and swoop-up benefits. For Example Property in certain areas are sold at below market value resulting in a loss of revenue to the entire community and for the City, County, State, Federal, and Private levels.
American Blacks have always supported your elections, your goals, and your dreams. We have generously supported and shopped with you in your establishments.
Newcomers smile and go along with you to the extent that they get what they want and you never have the audacity to treat these individuals rudely or as your constant scapegoat. American Blacks are not your permanent scapegoats and we are not here to bow-down to you or any other human being.
When Newcomers speak in their native tongue you get right out of their faces with your nonsense. Since you don’t understand the language
it is harder to get into their communities to conspire to do them harm due to the language barrier. Stop your crazy, annoying, psychotic, behavior, always referring to and pointing to the American Black community with your negativity.
Newcomers know as long as Americans fight among themselves they can continue to silently position themselves and change laws that give them control of USA assets and social benefits. They have learned well your tactics of divide and conquer.
When American Blacks try to positively succeed by going to school to become Engineers, Computer Scientist, Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians, Lobbyist, Corporation CEO’s, White America you bend over backwards to make sure we do not achieve the American Dream on our college campuses, but if the person is a Newcomer to the USA you bend over backwards to make sure that they succeed. In one instance an individuals loans totaled 1/2 million dollars and the individual could not be found to repay this loan. Now take this one individual and multiply 1/2 million by all of America's 4-year colleges and universities and the loss is unbelievable to the American taxpayer. I cannot blaming the Newcomers for being smart enough to take advantage of our negative racial polarization.
It is now a “plus” to be bi-lingual on the job. We supported most Newcomers through our free school systems learn English (ESL) as well as maintain their native tongue.
We were too stupid to make sure our schools taught our children a second language starting from kindergarten. Bi-linguals can now earn more than the majority of Americans in our job market. Another tactic used is the, I do not speak english, when an American attempts get information and transact business for our employer. The reason the Mexicans hope to produce more jobs in their communities. What happens more Newcomers
are hired replacing traditional Americans who once held the position.
I have had Newcomers tell me we have to pay them to teach our children their language when we taught alot of them for free. In California they sued to make sure their children learned English for free at the American tax payer’s expense even when they were here illegally. Also the Dept of Immigration in California might be bigger than the White House. Reminds me of the Mexican flag flown in one of the cities in Texas that cost maybe $100,000.00 dollars. They raised this Mexican flag on American soil and it is reported to be the largest flag ever flown in the USA. I guess this is the way the Mexican people just want to say Thank You to American citizens for all of the kinds things that Americans have done to help them succeed since at least the 1970’s up to today. What do you think?
But for American Blacks, non-Jamaican, non-Haitian, not Spanish, or recent arrival from any where on the African Continent, White America
and copy-cats continue to try and impede American Black progress through Unfairly enforced laws and forcing us off of our jobs.
Hard earned American dollars and profits are leaving this country and being sent to other countries. Newcomers never want to give any thing back to any Americans born and breed here. If you do not believe me call,
go into their businesses and communities and try to fund raise for any charity. Ask them to support you financially as we have done for them helping them to open businesses whereby they do not have to pay taxes for 5-years. Typically after the 5-year period they turn the business over
to a relative who qualifies for an additional 5-years of tax free business operations in some areas of USA, get the picture they do not want to pay taxes that help to support our economy either.

Shame to on those who find excitement and enjoyment in your own self-ful-filling prophecies when around Blacks, always ready to play that victims role when no ones done anything to you from our community, or

Your transparency is showing. The world knows who you really are and most of the World's citizens do not like what they see in you either.
Stop your attempts to criminalize the American Black community with your lies, your false assumptions, your false accusations, your serpent’s tongue, your hypocrisy, and your attempts to make your self look good by denigrating the American Black Community. Jobs lost in my community results in income lost in yours!!
And if you have not notice most Newcomers, like White America, also have a silent agenda to patronize Non-American owned businesses while supporting Newcomer businesses no matter what country of origin the Newcomer may be from as long as it is not an American White or Black Business.
When you teach others how to discriminate and gang-up on someone to do them harm they learn to treat you the exact same way. Be careful now For What You Do Unto Me .......

There is an entrenched apartheid in the U.S. within which blacks that try to work within the pithy confines of your sure path to success are doomed to failure. You probably got a B.A. degree in sume dumb liberal art at a State University for a few hundred dollars. Today a B.A. from a so-so State University is in the six figures. Yah, lots of kids from the hood can make that cut. Obama, Powell, Rice they are not b-l-a-c-k, they are m-u-l-a-t-t-o. See, I had to spell it out for you.
